At just eight years old, I was designing summer "school" lesson plans for my younger cousins. Around that same time, I wrote in my diary that my goal in life was to "help others, make life easier for others, and make people smile." I didn't know it then, but that was the beginning of my passion for helping others learn and grow and making it fun at the same time. I feel very lucky to be one of those rare people who genuinely love what they do.

Over the past 18 years, I've managed people and teams, built learning and development programs from scratch with an embarrassingly low budget, revamped performance management systems, and led talent and organizational effectiveness efforts at organizations including CBS Interactive, Goodwill Industries, and Fairway Market. I've worked inside cultures that were genuinely energizing and also ones that left me completely drained. Both taught me a lot about what makes a leader effective, and what gets in the way.

That's what I bring to Feed Learning — real experience from inside organizations of all shapes and sizes, each with their own set of challenges. As a former HR and L&D leader, I've seen it all: the brilliant individual contributor who got promoted into management and never quite made the transition, the manager who doesn't realize they're the source of the problem, the organization so stretched thin that "we don't have time for training" becomes the default answer, and the team that's genuinely hungry to grow. I've worked with all of them, and I know how to meet each one where they are.

I started Feed Learning because I wanted to make learning fun. I've sat through full-day and multi-day trainings where I learned a lot and then forgot most of it because I never had the chance to practice and apply it. That's why I'm committed to continuously improving my programs to be simple, practical, relevant, and laid-back. You gotta have fun when talking about managing poor performers!
